DICGC IFSC Code, MICR Code and SWIFT Code

A subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India, the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation - aka DIGC - was established to provide insurance of deposits and the guaranteeing of credit facilities. Founded under the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation Act of 1978, the organisation provides insurance against bank deposits of all kinds - current accounts, savings accounts and so on - up to a maximum value of Rs. 100,000 for each deposit respectively. The activities of the organisation are overseen by the Indian Government and controlled directly by the Reserve Bank of India.
