The Nagpur District Central Co-operative Bank has started working from the 4th of November 1911, according to the provisions of Cooperative Act. The bank was a pioneer of the banking business in Nagpur. However, after the district Vidarbha split up with Nagpur and become another district of Maharashtra, the bank became the central financing agency for the farmers of the district of Nagpur in Maharashtra state. In the pre and post-independence, The Nagpur District Central Cooperative Bank has helped the farmers of the rural areas. The bank has expanded its service over the decades. As of now, the bank is providing satisfactory service with its 86 branches across the districts. Besides, the bank has an objective to reserve 50 % of its total resources in the agricultural sector, and the bank has obediently maintained that obligation over the years.
