Shri Natwarlal Prabhudas Patel introduced the Vijay Co-operative Bank Limited in the year of 1973. The Bank was situated in Naroda at the Vijay Mills back in that time. The main objectives of the Bank were mainly to work for the middle and lower-class people of the society by empowering them economically. The Bank till its establishment has aided the deserving members financially. Especially women who are self-employed. This way, the Vijay Co-operative banks were brought into existence to support the backward community. After 39 years of constant and smooth functioning, the Vijay Co-operative banks have 23438 members now associated with the Bank. However, there were only 91 when it started its journey. The Bank as of now is functioning in the city and the district of Ahmedabad as well as in the Gandhinagar township.
