The Krishna Co-operative Central Bank came to existence in the year of 1915, just three years after the Cooperative Societies Act II in 1912. It was just three years after the republication of the act when some of the eminent leaders of the society back then felt the need to form a bank to aid the financially backward class of Krishna district. Just like the Krishna Co-operative Central Bank founded by Sri Dr. Bhogaraju Pattabhi Seetharamaiah at Machilipatnam, there was another bank, namely Vijayawada Cooperative Central Bank (VCC). After the window credit delivery system in1987 by the government of AP the Krishna Co-operative Central Bank, the VCC and 14 other erstwhile PADBs merged into one bank. The bank is now known as the Krishna District Co-operative Central Bank Ltd. The bank has its HQ in Machilipatnam and the regional office at Vijayawada.
